Truly, The Greatest Day Of The Year

I would like to say a special thanks to a very special person.

St. Patrick.

Yesterday was a very special day for me. Other people can have their Christmas or their New Years. They can take Valentine's and Halloween.

But St. Patrick's day? That's my holiday.

There's no other motive behind St. Paddy's day. You can drink on any holiday, but this is a day DEVOTED to drinking.

St. Patrick: patron saint of liver damage.

I don't even know what happened last night.

Here's an entire record of everything I remember yesterday:

5:00 pm
-> Work day ends

5:15 pm
-> Find nearest bar

5:16 pm
-> Start drinking

And that's it.

I woke up five minutes ago with a hangover, an empty wallet, and a t-shirt that says "Kiss My Ass, It's Irish!"

The strange part is that I actually found a half-written blog post that I had apparently written at some point during the night.

Unfortunately, since I doubt anyone would be entertained by my thoughts on why I think my shoes are out to get me, I decided to delete it.

Note to self: mixing different types of alcohol is a bad idea, not a challenge.

Note to shoes: screw you.

Anyway, now that I'm actually awake, I'll be working on the fan pack. I really think you guys are going to enjoy this one.

Also, while I was drinking, I'm pretty sure I ran into GoblinSmithy. He and Pathfinder will be making an appearance in the fan pack this month.

I'm not sure if that's good news or not.

I think some of us would have gotten a laugh from that shoe blog entry.

Ulli, I know that and it makes me cry a little inside.

Wait, I'm confused:

5:16 pm
-> _Start_ drinking

Does that imply you went the entire work day without alcohol?

Good catch. I should have said "started St. Patrick's Day drinking".

This is like a sport to me. The drinking I do at work is all part of my training.

Dave, how long do you think your liver will last? Rofl, who cares? You can always get a new one to screw over. ^^

Can you like ban Caesarsghost and feed him to a dragon or something please? He's being a really annoying dickwad...

You really ought to watch the drinking, it's going to kill you, and then who will protect your daughter from the idiot boys when she grows up?

You should have posted that first blog! It would probably be the best ever! You should totally include it in the fan pack, since we are the chosen ones.

No, I will not ban Caesarsghost. If I banned everyone who acted like an ass, I wouldn't be allowed to read the comments myself.

Yes, I do send fan packs outside of the US. It's an e-mail. Shipping and Handling are not a problem.

As for the shoe entry, I do have a draft saved, so I'll clean it up a bit (maybe add a commentary) and include it with the fan pack.

Don't tell the shoes though.

Liver damage is a myth made up by diabetics, those who can't handle their drink so they piss themselves and the government.

Goddamn, I love me some St. Patty's day too. It's even better for me because I'm a natural redhead. What normally brings about ridicule 364 days of the year turns into a source of free booze for one glorious day. I got so drunk I forgot to be a nerd yesterday and go onto the internets at all. For me, that's insanely drunk.

Loved the post, and like yourself got pretty wasted on St. Patricks day with my friends.

You said you spoke to Goblin Smithy. Was hoping you could ask him next time you speak to him, when he plans to start up his blog again. While I am very happy seeing you start posting again, I do miss Smithy's blog as well.

Thanks and have fun drinking at work and anyother time. You can never drink to much when having to deal with people.

"Note to self: mixing different types of alcohol is a bad idea, not a challenge."

only people who have done this heavily will really understanding the depth of your wisdom on this matter...

having said that some alcohols mix very well... white Wine and white spirits (particularly vodka) go together amazingly well. but mixing spirits of different colours... not good... 2 double brandies and 2 double vodkas will fuck you up and no mistake. *flash backs*

My shoes always try and mess my life up... i can only find one. ever. and the other one hides so i miss my bus. we should ban shoes.

Yeah, I know. Those shoes agree to be your friend, but then a couple months/years later. BAM! They hate you. They are all "No, you are too big" or "Man, I am just too worn out to pal around with you anymore... I am just gonna go find the nearest trash can and throw myself away..." And you are like "Well, maybe if you cooperate with me a little, we can still be friends." But that seems to be asking too much from a shoe... damn those shoes... /angry
