Random Thought

Have you ever seen those shirts that say "No Blood For Oil"?

After the robot apocalypse, those are going to be terribly ironic.

"Robot apocalypse".

Now that's just fun to say.

'Course, I have resolved to be kinder to my appliances.

Obviously Blake isn't a Monty Python fan.

Now, I may or may not know some details about said robotpocalypse..

Where are you, Dave?
I thought you would have had a field day with Blizzard's attempted Real ID and Forum combination. They practically handed you a huge joke.

It's gotta be a drag chasing all of the reds, blues and beasts to level 80.

In between all of the GM calls over greifing and harassment in campaign battle, he'll be lucky to gain a level per week, if that.

And then there's the whole skill-up issue. Pushing something from 250 to 300 is a heart-pounding experience when you're just able to solo a level 79 mob.

Yup, I expect Dave to be away a while. I certainly do.

For anyone who might happen to be interested (I know a lot of us read this who don't actually play it =p) FFXI Ultimate Collection is $5 on Steam at the moment.

I think Dave has gotten himself hopelessly lost in FFXIV Beta...

I think its about time I took ole GM Dave off my bookmarks... his time has passed

I probably won't ever take [GM]Dave off my bookmarks. Real Life makes ghosts of us all from time to time, and I know that whenever he finds the time to come back and let us know how retarded some people are or that gil sellers are wastes of spaces (or Jormy stories...I miss Jormy) well, I know he'll try.

Here's to you, [GM]Dave. Enjoy RL and thanks for the stories so far. I'm in the process of my third read-through of the whole thing...yeah, I am either a) sad or b) completely love the laughs I have when I read this blog.

Wouldn't it by ironic if the pause in posting here was because Dave had been posting on Goblin Smithy? Just checked and no luck. Dammit.

After reading [GM]Dave's Final Fantasy XI blog i decided to reenter the online gaming world myself. About five minutes upon my arrival to the server I was asked if I had any cadava berries. This seemed reasonable as the other player may have just been too lazy to get them for himself, but then I discovered that he did not even know where to get them.

this guy is retarded.

So I check his level. He is level 19.

Words fail me.

I decided to help him out anyway seeing as I had nothing better to do. When we arrive at the cadava bush patch I stop expecting him to pick the berries.

No.

He does not pick them.

Player>> Why are we stopping?
Me>> Are you functionally retarded?
Player>>HEY!
Me>>Oh, I'm sorry.
Me>>I shouldn't have been so blunt about your disability.
Me>>Are you mentally challenged?
Player>>OOOH! You get the berries off of the bushes.
Me>>My God, your a genious!
Player>>*Runs to a redberry bush*
Me>>You are a moron.
Me>>I think you may have just discovered a new level of stupidity.
Player>>Thx 4 the help!
Me>>I think the English language just died a little on the inside.
Player>>What?
Me>> Never mind. Just get away from me before my IQ drops any lower.

[GM]Dave was right. The internet is full of retards.

I only wish I could have warped him to the King Black Dragons lair. I'm sure that dragon is getting hungry.

To those who say they'll stop checking the blog:

Tsh'yeaahhh... Okay then! You SAY you'll stop, but any bets you'll sneak a quick look in every few days just to see if you made the right choice!

He'll be back.

Compare that with a show like Survivor which is on for how many weeks and only 1 person wins the $1,000,000 and the runner-up gets a smaller prize.
